With 25 years of activities in North American and Asian Startups and Fortune 100 Corporations, Thomas D. Striegler possesses extensive experience in the electronic display industry, specifically technical and management expertise in areas of:

  • LCD Device Engineering
  • PDP, AMLCD Process and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Device and Systems Manufacturing Operations
  • Display Device Marketing, Sales and Distribution
  • Technology Transfers and M&As

At Beckman Instruments and at Timex, Thomas was responsible for developing cost reducing photo-lithographic processes for organic alignment based LCDs and for establishing TN LCD manufacturing plants in domestic and foreign locations.

At Samsung he formed the initial marketing group responsible for TFT LCD business development in North America and attained business growth from $ 10 million in 1994 to $ 750 million in 1997.

At Arthur D. Little and as independent consultant, major case work included product development planning for display and materials manufacturers, business development and technology transfers for display interface electronics manufacturers, competitive positioning for micro display and FED developers, managing display development efforts for three PowerBook platforms.

Thomas is the current Chairman of the San Diego Chapter of SID. He contributes articles to Information Display and other display related journals and he participates with presentation and as session chair at various display conferences such as SID Symposiums, USDC, SEMI, FID and DisplaySearch conferences.

Thomas was educated at the German Academy of Science, specializing in Glass Technology, and at Fullerton State College in Industrial Management.
